Dmytro Lysun: a famous agrarian and public-political activist

Abstract
Abstract. The purpose of the proposed research is to analyze the main milestones of Dmytro Lysun’s life as a talented organizer
of agricultural production and a well-known public and political figure and patriot of Ukraine on the basis of archival
documents and sources of personal origin.
The scientific novelty of the article lies in the first in the national historiography scientific and personalistic comprehension
of the life of the famous agrarian and public and political figure Dmytro Lysun.
The author’s conclusions. The processed empirical material provided a scientific reconstruction of the life of Dmytro
Lysun and allowed to reveal his role in the modern history of Ukraine. The author substantiates the position that our contemporary became known in Ukraine as a talented organizer of agricultural production, who, thanks to innovative approaches and implementation of the best examples of world experience, ensured significant results of economic activity. At the same time, he demonstrated a consistent and unwavering patriotic position, and was constantly in the thick of social and political life. D. Lysun also gained fame as a well-known athlete and consistent promoter of a healthy lifestyle. His life became a model of service to Ukraine.
